FEB Unud Receives Audience Office of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Denpasar City
Closing January 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (FEB Unud) received an audience from the Department of Cooperatives for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Diskop & UMKM) Denpasar City last Monday (31/01), located in the Dean's Meeting Room, BI Building, FEB Denpasar Campus. The Dean of FEB Unud, Agoes Ganesha Rahyuda, SE, MT, Ph.D., who was accompanied by all Deputy Deans and Head of the FEB Cooperation Unit, Gede Bayu Rahanatha, SE, MM, directly received the Diskop & UMKM group led by the Head of Service ( Head of Department), Dr. I Dewa Made Agung, S.E., M.Sc.
The opportunity for this audience was used by the Denpasar City Discop & MSMEs to discuss various issues related to the problems of the Cooperatives and MSMEs on the island of Bali. The Head of the Department of Education, Dewa Made Agung, also revealed that generation Z and millennials on the island of Bali did not show their interest in the field of Cooperatives and MSMEs, especially when the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic had not subsided. Kadis continued, this is very dangerous because it can trigger a decline in the quality of Cooperatives and MSMEs in the next few years.
The Dean of FEB Unud, in his speech stated that he was very pleased to receive the visit of the Denpasar City Diskop & UMKM. The Dean continued, everything said by the Head of Diskop & UMKM will be used as a reflection to formulate various crucial strategies for the survival of the quality of Cooperatives and SMEs on the island of Bali. The Dean also stated that he would think of plans that might be realized with Diskop & UMKM in the future, such as internships and special entrepreneurship trainings for students who have succeeded in producing goods and services.
The Head of the FEB Cooperation Unit, Gede Bayu Rahanatha, SE, MM, also expressed his full readiness if the cooperation between Denpasar City Diskop & UMKM and FEB Unud was realized. He revealed that all cooperatives and SMEs on the island of Bali were badly hit by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. He also believes that the cooperation of these two parties will build positive things in the future, especially for the world of Cooperatives and SMEs.
