Improving the Quality of Distance Learning (PJJ), LP3M Udayana University Holds Advanced OASE Training
LP3M Unud held an Advanced OASE Training which took place online through the webex application, Friday (20/8/2021). This activity was carried out by the LP3M Learning Innovation Center in order to improve the quality of Distance Learning (PJJ) at Udayana University. This activity is attended by lecturers who have passed the Basic PJJ Training and will take place in three meetings, namely August 20, August 27 and September 3, 2021.
The training was opened by the Head of LP3M Unud Prof. Ni Wayan Sri Suprapti representing the Chancellor of Unud. In his remarks, the Chairman of LP3M said that Unud through LP3M had designed and implemented distance learning (PJJ) not only because there was a pandemic, but long before the Covid-19 pandemic was present. This is intended to adapt to technological disruption and the 4.0 industrial revolution. Learning is designed in the form of hybrid or blending learning through a Learning Management System called OASE (Online Academic Service for E-learning) through the Cisco webex application facility.
The existence of a pandemic has made the demands for implementing PJJ learning even higher, with the OASE the lecturers are not surprised by these demands. This training is a continuation of the Basic PJJ Training which has been carried out several times.
One thing to remember is that the quality of learning should not be reduced compared to face-to-face learning, even if the learning can be of higher quality. However, we still hope that this pandemic will end soon because as a society with eastern culture, we still need to meet face-to-face, interact, share experiences, both between students, between lecturers and between students and lecturers.
In the training which took place in three meetings, several materials were presented by the resource persons. The material presented on Friday 20 August 2021 was the Higher Education Curriculum in the Industrial Era 4.0 by Prof. Ir. I Made Supartha Utama, MS., Ph.D, Achievement Learning Outcome by Ir.
