Unud Rector Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi Attends 74th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony

Unud Rector Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi attended the 74th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony at the Bali Police PRG Building on Wednesday (1/7/2020). The ceremony was also attended by the Governor of Bali, Commander IX Udayana, Kajati Bali, DPRD Chairperson, Chairperson of the High Court, Head of BNNP Bali and Danlanal. The ceremony was also held virtually from the State Palace with the Inspector of Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo.

President Joko Widodo in his message wished Happy 74th Bhayangkara Day to the extended family of the Indonesian National Police wherever on duty, the highest thanks and appreciation for the service, sacrifice and contribution given in maintaining security, maintaining order in upholding the law, as well as in provide shelter and service to the community.

As a warrior nation we must not surrender quickly, the Covid-19 pandemic that has swept the world including Indonesia is an ordeal, we must continue to work hard and work hard to overcome health problems and economic problems. In a difficult situation at this time the presence and involvement of all ranks of the Indonesian National Police are urgently needed. POLRI members must be actively involved in inviting the public to discipline the health protocol, actively oversee and facilitate the distribution of social assistance and maintain order so that the situation remains conducive, safe and peaceful.

The President stressed that the safety of the people is paramount. Perform this humanitarian task persuasively and humanist, but must remain vigilant, responsive and firm in handling any violations of the law by maintaining professionalism and maintaining the trust of the people. Strengthening synergies and cooperation in the supervision of the Covid-19 handling program. The precautionary aspect must be prioritized, don't wait until there is a problem.

The National Police must continue to reform themselves totally, always trying to improve themselves to be more professional and modern, changing all weaknesses into a strength. Through this opportunity, the President also conveyed several instructions for members of the Indonesian National Police.
