Educational Philosophy

The educational philosophy of the study program aligns with the educational philosophy of Udayana University as formulated in its motto, “Taki-Takining Sewaka Guna Widya,” which means that those who pursue knowledge are obliged to strive for both knowledge and virtue. Another interpretation of this philosophy emphasizes sincere dedication to virtue and science/knowledge. This philosophy is further strengthened by Rector’s Decree No. 268/UN14/HK/2021 concerning the Educational Philosophy of Udayana University.

The placement of the words “virtue” and “knowledge” reflects the understanding that education should encourage the entire academic community to develop into individuals of high quality—namely, educated individuals who are devoted to God Almighty, possess noble character, are knowledgeable, competent, creative, independent, democratic, and responsible.
