Blood Donation and Convalescent Plasma Commemoration of the 59th Anniversary of Unud
In celebration of the 59th Anniversary of Udayana University, Blood Donation and Convalescent Plasma Donors were held at the Cakra Vidhya Usadha Skill Lab Building, Faculty of Medicine, Sudirman Campus Denpasar, Friday (17/9/2021). Rector Unud Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara accompanied by the Vice Rectors and the Head of the Anniversary Committee reviewed the implementation of this convalescent blood and plasma donor. The donors were followed by the Unud academic community, ranging from lecturers, employees, to students.
Rector of Unud Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU., on the occasion said that in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Unud's Dies Natalis which falls on September 29 every year, various activities are still being carried out by adjusting to conditions and situations. In addition to the implementation of various academic and scientific activities, service and family activities were also held. One of them is blood donors and convalescent plasma donors. This year's dies natalis celebration is simpler because the situation is not yet possible.
The Rector of Unud thanked all parties for their contributions, so that this activity could be carried out properly. The Chancellor also thanked the donors who had donated blood and convalescent plasma. Where this is very helpful for the recovery of patients, whether related to Covid or not.
The Rector hopes that with the age of Unud, the achievements will be higher so that the presence of this campus can be felt in the community. The success of a university is how people can feel the presence of the university in the context of lightening the burden of their lives and educating the nation's children.
Chairman of the Committee for the 59th Anniversary of Unud, Dr. dr. I Putu Eka Widyadharma, S.Ked, M.Sc, Sp.S(K) said the theme for this year's Anniversary was "Strengthening Innovation and Competitiveness with the Spirit of Mutual Cooperation in the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic for A Rising Indonesia". The series of Dies Natalis activities carried out included various competitions, traces of history, social services, blood donation and convalescent plasma donors, national seminars, peak and family events. Conventional blood donor and plasma donor activities. This donor activity is targeted to be attended by 100 donors which will take place for two days, 17-18 September 2021. The first day is focused on taking blood and screening for those who will donate convalescent plasma. Those whose examination results meet the requirements for plasma donors, will continue to take convalescent plasma on the second day. This activity involved various parties, besides the Anniversary committee, Sanglah Hospital and the Indonesian Blood Donor Association were also involved.
