International Collaboration Company Visit and International Community Service dengan University of Rhode Island-Amerika
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University has carried out the International Collaboration Program: Company Visit and International Community Service with the University of Rhode Island - USA on Thursday (25/05/2023) and Friday (26/05/2023). This activity was attended by 9 students from the Global Engagement Program and also representatives of BEM FEB Udayana University and 10 students and 3 lecturers from the University of Rhode Island.
On the first day, this activity was carried out by visiting Kuta Traditional Market and Krisna Oleh-Oleh. The purpose of this activity is to observe MSMEs and businesses supporting the tourism industry,
The Company Visit was conducted by visiting Jimbaran Bay Beach Hotel. The group was received by the Owner and General Manager of Jimbaran Bay Beach Hotel. In this activity students were invited to hold discussions related to the development of Jimbaran Bay Beach's strategy to face the dynamics of the tourism industry before Covid 19 and Post Covid 19.
The second day began with doing International Service by visiting DTW Sanur Beach by cleaning the beach and educating about coral reef conservation. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Intaran-Sanur Traditional Village and the Intaran Maritime River Community. This is also in line with the Summer Vacation theme of the University of Rhode Island, namely "Bali URI - Udayana Marketing & The Blue Economy Summer 2023". Activities on the second day continued by visiting an international NGO called Prevented Ocean Plastic which is engaged in plastic waste management. The group was received by the NGO management and learned together about how to manage sustainable plastic waste to support the tourism industry in Bali.
Mr. Brook Wiliam Ross as Director of Business & Education Partnership for Asia from The University of Rhode Island expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and assistance of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Udayana University for this activity. This activity was successful and certainly very beneficial for both parties and became the beginning of a good collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University and the University of Rhode Island - United States.
The international service event ended with lunch together and the handover of mementos to Mr. I Gede Nandya Oktora Panasea, S.E., M.B.A., CRA, CRP as Head of the International Affairs Team of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University and certificates to students.
