Preventing the Influence of Radicalism on Campus, Chairperson of the Bali Terrorism Prevention Coordination Forum Visits Udayana University
The Rector of Udayana University received an audience from the Chairperson of the Bali Terrorism Prevention Coordination Forum (FKPT) and staff in the Rector's Living Room, Jimbaran Campus, Thursday (24/2/2022). FKPT is a forum under the Directorate of Prevention of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT).
Chairman of the Bali FKPT I Gusti Agung Ngurah Sudarsana, S.H., M.H. conveyed the purpose of this hearing in order to introduce themselves and the team as well as to socialize about the existence of FKPT which has the task of coordinating matters relating to the emergence of seeds of radicalism, so that it is more of a prevention, and the task of this team is to gather information if there are indications of seeds of radicalism in the community. an area. His party coordinates the implementation of tasks and opens opportunities for collaboration both in research and other fields with Udayana University.
He added that there were indications of radicalism entering campus, so the Director of the Directorate of Prevention hopes that this will not happen at universities in Bali. It also coordinates with all universities in Bali in the context of this prevention. The FKPT team also expects the involvement of students in the program to be implemented at Udayana University, where research has previously been carried out by involving researchers and students.
Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara in this hearing expressed his gratitude for FKPT's visit to Udayana University. The Rector also briefly explained the existence of Udayana University and its academic community from various regions. Previously, the Police and the Regional Government had also coordinated on the same matter.
At Udayana University itself, there are regulations and SOPs issued for prevention, including the prevention of sexual violence, bullying and drugs. In this case, the Rector is ready to coordinate further to support the implementation of the tasks carried out by FKPT.
