Yamaguchi University and Udayana University Hold International Symposium
Yamaguchi University in collaboration with Udayana University held an International Symposium with the theme "Basic Knowledge of Water Quality and Wastewater Treatment for Conservation of Water Environment in Bali" which took place online through the Zoom Meeting application, Monday (06/09/2021). The implementation of this symposium is an implementation of cooperation between Yamaguchi University Japan and Udayana University Bali.
Present as resource persons from universities in Indonesia and Japan, namely Prof. Tsuyoshi IMAI (Yamaguchi University), Prof. Ir. Joni Hermana MScES, PhD (ITS), Prof. Wayan Budiarsa Suyasa (UNUD), Mr. Akhmad Riva'i (EC).
The Rector of Udayana University who in this case was represented by the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Information Planning, Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes in his speech said that the theme of this symposium is a topic that is relevant to the current situation due to global warming and global changes that create several problems that must be solved holistically from various perspectives. The Vice Rector hopes that through this symposium, he can formulate several conclusions and actions that can be applied to water conservation in Bali. The experience, knowledge, and insight of the speakers at this international symposium will be the basis of knowledge for water conservation and will be followed by others in other forms of activities related to water treatment, not only in Bali, but also in other areas.
Prof. Tsuyoshi IMAI representing Yamaguchi University in his speech expressed his appreciation for the very good response from all academic circles which can be seen from the enthusiasm of more than 250 participants who took part in the event through Zoom meetings both from Japan and Indonesia. It is hoped that the participants will be enthusiastic in participating in this event for the next three days.
In this international symposium, Prof. Tsuyoshi IMAI was a resource person for three days (06,07, and 08 September 2021) who would present various important topics, namely, Limited Water Resource, Combined Septic Tank for Complementary a Sewer System, Water Quality for Wastewater Treatment, Combined Septic Tank-How it Works?, Flow of Wastewater Treatment, Maintenance of Combined Septic Tank, How to Measure the Water Quality Items.
